Greetings Friends of Chautauqua Rails to Trails,

I know this is short notice, but the Chautauqua Comprehensive plan committee would like to hear first hand from Rails to Trails stakeholders about the importance of our system in the village of Mayville and town of Chautauqua. All of us know how significant that portion of the trail is to the entire system, but they would like to hear our members impart the need for accessibility by folks of all ages and ability.

Many of the things that we’ve talked about that will elevate the importance of the trails in Mayville need to be given voice in this public forum. I would hope that we would stress the importance of that accessibility and your vision of the future of the trails from the the depot at the end of the lake going each way. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you want to send an email with your thoughts that I could share at the meeting which is this coming Wednesday, June 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Lake Central School. As I said, an email would be good, but your presence and feedback of the meeting would be best.
